AFC PEOX
Antifriction Coating / Dry Film LubricantWhere to Use
AFC PEOX works well (as a dry film lubricant) when applied to non-polar plastics such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), and the paste consistency can be helpful if parts need to be assembled before drying time is complete. It can also be applied to visible, flexible, elastic surfaces such as leather, artificial leather, vinyl, or soft plastics.
How to use
AFC PEOX is a paste-like substance and so does not require to be shaken or stirred before use. The product can be applied by brushing, wiping or rolling-on to create a thin film that air-dries within 5-20 minutes. If over-applied, the product can be removed by immediately wiping with a wet cloth. Drying time can be accelerated by gentle application of heat lamps or air dryers (take care to prevent bubbling). The user should experiment with different product film thicknesses – only 5-10 μm dry film thickness is usually required. Important that any performance testing is not conducted until 48 hours after application if possible..

Product Description
AFC PEOX is a water-based paste; the paste consistency may allow easier application on certain parts, such as vehicle headliner or trim fastener clips, and the relatively high concentration of active ingredients forms a thicker lubricant film. This may allow a more robust film when exposed to higher contact pressures. Upon application, it air-dries and then air-cures (cross-links) over time to form an almost invisible, non-migrating, water-resistant semi-continuous coating or strongly-adhering dry film lubricant, depending on the composition and flexibility of the application surface. Also available formulated with a UV tracer.
Video Overview of AFC PEOX
The video below is actually called PEOX Paste Product Overview which is the old name for the product. We are currently making new videos but this old one is still worth watching as the formulation of the ‘old’ PEOX Paste and AFC PEOX are exactly the same, it’s just a product name change
